This is the first piece I've created for this new website and also the pioneering piece of the Flora Collection. 

I have always like the feeling of gold with oriental pieces. The combination makes the entire accessory look classy, authentic and exotic at the same time. Which is why when I first spotted the pretty peach-coloured metal flattened beads with lovely flowers trimmed with gold endings, I knew that I had to pair them with brilliant yellow Swarovski crystals and a 14K goldfilled chain. The resulting piece, The Chinese Princess, is simply what I've aimed for. :)

...The Bling Escape.

Let me do a brief introduction of the escapee, yours truly:

I am a true-blooded Science student for half of my school life who at the same time loves the Arts too much to give it up completely. I owe this split personality character to my Mum who has always found herself in the same predicament and that’s the reason for her to enroll me in various types of art classes ranging from drawing and painting to clayart to origami to *gasp* Chinese calligraphy during school holidays when I was young (and very free).

I’ve never been formally educated and trained in Arts or handicraft but being passionate about it, I’ve made many pieces of craftwork over the decade mainly as presents to friends and as they say, practice makes perfect. It’s mainly my friends’ encouragement that made me realise that perhaps I can make my pieces available to people who can similarly appreciate them.

Another reason why I’m setting up this blog to sell pieces I make specially for this purpose is the fact that the last time I checked, I only have one neck, ten fingers and two wrists. Unlike some jewellery makers, I am mainly inspired by the materials I see when I browse through the supplier shops. I browse these shops like how other girls browse at Mango or Zara. I simply like to see the new stocks, and even though many times I shop with no prior intention to buy, seeing the charms and pendants always makes me so inspired that I end up bursting my wallet everytime. I have many ideas but I cannot possibly wear them all myself. Hence I thought it would be a good idea to make and sell pieces which I myself will love to buy if I spot them on a shelf. In a way, it’s perhaps to share with others what I think are pretty and unique, and I get an immense sense of satisfaction when someone likes what I’ve done.
